The evolution log

Watch it grow

Every time Big AI Brain gets an upgrade, we add a snapshot here: what it looks like, what's inside, what it can do. The stage names come from the brain itself; it has to earn each one with a better report card and enough approved meals.

Live right now: the neuron count and connection count on the homepage update as the brain grows. Each new stage adds neurons using function-preserving widening.

Day one: born goofy

What it looks like: A smooth pink brain with googly eyes, buck teeth, blushing cheeks and one sprout on top. Eyes follow your finger. Mouth opens when you tap it.

What's inside: 384 neurons, about 483,000 connections, all random noise at birth. Two hidden layers. Reads 32 characters at a time and guesses the next one.

What it can do:

  • 171 clean jokes and 30 knock-knocks, both directions
  • Math that shows its work, plus a leveling kids quiz
  • 76 facts and 18 mini lessons
  • Memory lobe: approved meals answer instantly, credited to the feeder
  • Under the hood: explains its own code with pictures
  • Five-layer safety lobe and a rewind button
  • Grows new neurons when it earns a stage (function-preserving widening)

Coming stages

Teasers only. Each one unlocks when the brain earns it.

🐟Fish

Neurons start to glow and fire across the surface.

🔥Caveman

Visible pathways light up when it answers. Rock knowledge: probable.

🧸Toddler

Little muscles. Don't ask. It's been working out.

🎒Kid

A glasses upgrade and the first bigger brain.

The full path

  4. 🔥 Caveman: real words, caveman grammar. 100 meals.
  5. 🧸 Toddler: short sentences that mostly make sense. 300 meals.
